Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that initiatives on resignation of the Government have no prospects. He made this statement, asked about the intentions of the BYuT Faction to start collecting signatures of the People´s Deputies to initiate resignation of the acting government.
V.Lytvyn stressed that such initiatives and signatures collection "is an integral constitutional right of The Verkhovna Rada or a group of deputies." However, this issue will be brought before Parliament, provided 150 signatures are collected and the demands are formulated. "The Standing Orders shall be followed," he stated.
The Head of the Parliament predicts that "even if the initiative is realized, and the signatures are collected, it will bear no results."
